| I always dated much older men when I was in my 20s. I was never trying to replace my father nor wanted a father figure, I just couldnt' stand how immature the guys my own age were. I did not want to spend my evening getting plowed. Older men were more.... well mature. They held doors, treated me better and actually could have a conversation. They also never asked me to pay for the entire meal because they left their wallet at home. (That old excuse to get out of paying for a date). Guys my own age just wanted to sit in their parents basements watching the game etc. Once in a while that is fine but too often I found guys my own age were not interested in being aware of the fact that they were in a couple. | Speaking from a psychological point of view, I think women would think about it, but alot less then men. Males become alot more... "hornier" when their levels of testosterone increase. The levels of testosterone in females is ALOT less compared to males. When women are older, they have even less testosterone in them, meaning they think about sexual acts a whole lot less. But i'm not a female, nor am I in my 40's let alone 70's. | I think there is a psychological attraction that a lot of women, especially younger women have to older men. I think a lot of it stems from a few things. Older guys are generally a little more situated, have their lives more on track, and are able to be more supportive and caring to their women. Plus older guys tend to think about sex a little less. I think it is very normal, and I think that it is desirable for both sexes to want somebody that they can rely on and not have to deal with BS that most early college aged guys go through. I personally like older women, not because they are technically older per se, but because I know that they aren't still into drinking until they puke every Friday night and because they are a little more comfortable in their own skin. | First of all, you should know the facts about men because 9 out of 10 are not ready to marry till their 30's and 30 is far from old, there are 6 different stages in a humans life, 1) infant/baby 2) toddler 3)guy 4) teen 5) adult 6) senior. At this age and state of mind men usually run out and buy an expensive sports/convertable car as well, part of the youth thing. The majority of men have never handled age or retirement well and fight like hell to get their youth back. That's why 8 out of 10 men end up grouchy or nastey in their old age, they also refuse to get/use hearing aids/canes/walkers anything that relates to older age. Fact is, on a paper i did on this, i found studies that proved black men were worse than white men when it came to accepting old age and the equiptment to help them.
